Let's talk about hangers...

Hangers are important because they can make your clothes look fabulous. If you have a closet that feels like a store then you are more likely to shop at home than get frustrated because you feel like you have nothing to wear. I have selected my favorite ones to talk about below and feel that style and quality have exceed my expectations.

The Wood

Wood hangers have a sophisticated look and can enhance the look of a blazer or blouse. These hangers work great for large walk-in closets. If it's in the budget you can really coordinate with mixed metals and different wood tones. Light wood is the most popular but a nice mahogany or walnut is a fun choice too.

The Velvet

Not every velvet hanger is a great choice because they are light weight and thin, it can be a challenge to pick the right ones. I am sure most of you have had these types of hangers in the past where the hook broke or the velvet started coming off. So important to shop for the highest quality that way the last longer and keep your clothes beautiful. Again, these hangers come in all kinds of color and metals and you can create a fun atmosphere for your closet this way.

The Non-Velvet

The non-velvet hanger is perfect t-shirts because they function like the old school hangers and it's easier to get the shirts off and on. My husband can attest to that because he hated the velvet ones. I thinks the men in you life might find this easier on a daily basis. This particular choice has a tread like texture that is not only masculine but durable. Again quality and reviews are a must when shopping.

The Pant

Now mind you, I have purchased several difference pant hangers in the past and these are by far my favorite. They have such an elegant look that adds to a space. I am one of those that doesn't think jeans should be hung on a hanger. I like my jeans folded and if space permits by type and denim color. These also come in different wood tones but the light wood is easier to match.

The Long

These hangers are great for pants that can be hung at the waistline. I don't love the chrome clips on these hangers so the black makes it feel more expensive. These hangers work well for jeans too if you don't like folding or the S hook. They can be harder to match with other hangers but would be a lovely complement to the velvet and non-velvet hanger.

The Short

So these hangers for short spaces in your closet work great. I do recommend the velvet ones as they hold the clothing better especially slacks. The look of these are not my favorite but it gets the job done. I am currently looking for a better options to save a few inches. Organizing is a process so it takes time.

The S Hook

For those who have a walk-in closet, well here's a way to add a funky, stylish twist that really makes you feel like you are shopping in a boutique. The S hook also can come in different metal and colors. This is where hanging jeans gets interesting. I don't recommend plastic because you want durability. And make sure they are larger. I would stick to 4 inches or more.
